Be Doers Of The Word: Live In The Light

the light

Shalom Brothers and Sisters I just want to say don’t just read or listen to the Word but be doers of the Word. Many people claim they are living in the truth but are not following the Word. Please don’t fool yourselves. Get back on track and do what pleases the Most High.

James 1:19-25 states,  “Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires. So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls. But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.”

I know that it can hard sometimes coming out of the world but you must dedicate your life and time to the Most High. You must take the Word serious and do what it says. The Most High wants his children to live in the light. He doesn’t want his children living like the rest of the world. Remember we are not children of darkness but we are children of the light.

1 Thessalonians 5:5 states, “Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.”

Living in the Light

Ephesians 5:5-14 states,  “Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God. Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people. Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God. You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him. Don’t participate in the things these people do. For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true. Carefully determine what pleases the Lord. Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them.  It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them, for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, “Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”

The Creator is the Light of the Universe and we should all strive to be one with his light. We should not be one with the Word. Do not follow after the things of the World but follow after the heart of God. The Most High loves his children and that’s why he sent Yahshua to this earth. He also has raised up prophets so they could go out to his people to send them messages and warnings. We must produce the fruits of the spirit to inherit the Kingdom. If you are not sure on how to get your life right with God please read the Word and his holy spirit will guide you into all truth. Seek the Most High and pray to him and he will surely answer and direct your footsteps. You must have faith and you must trust in him with all of your heart.

Proverbs 3:5-6 states, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

There are going to be times when you feel like giving up but don’t give up. When you are weak the Lord is your strength. He will hold you up in the midst of trials and tribulations. Don’t ever forget that. The Most High is always there for you and he will never leave you nor forsake you. Don’t allow people to take you out of your character but be strong in the Lord. Be bold, respectful and stand up for the truth. Don’t be greedy, arrogant or selfish but show love to each other, be patient and willing to help others when they are in need. Encourage your brothers and sisters and lead them to the light which is Christ and let the Most High direct their paths. Be gentle and kind don’t hurt people’s feelings or be nonchalant. We must grow in the Lord daily and practice what we preach. It’s not going to be easy but we must put forward the effort on changing our evil ways.
